Since the little dog will eat almost anything, what about, Luxie, short for Electrolux?

Congrats on your new pup! How about Chica? Similar sound to Chloe and indicative of her heritage!

That sweet puppy face!! I am happy for you, Betsy. I know you had a hard time with the loss of your last pup. I am trying to brainstorm dog names and can think of Trinket, Annie, Minerva, Freya, Persephone, Zelda. Those are weird names. I will be completely not hurt if you don't like any of them. :) Eager to hear what she ends up as. That girl has lucked out!

What a sweet doggo. Mango, suggested by Jim Roland, seems fitting. Ok, going to go fill out the survey now.

I’m new to Spark and felt like it was a kindred newsletter. Mine hopes the best of what I can offer reaches someone somewhere. Matches struck unexpectedly in the dark sound like flares. I felt seen and I see you. 🙂

I do not remember how I stumbled onto your newsletter, but I will say I look forward to it each week. It’s like chatting with an old friend. I like your writing style and of course I love what you write about. It hits close to home to me.

We have three rescue dogs and a rescue horse (long story) and two cats and two birds. We did change all of their names. Lol. They seem to want a name from their new owner so that it feels like they belong. And that they are home. So they welcome it. They do! As for a name, only you can feel what is right for you. And your pet. Sometimes the name they come with is associated with abuse or mistrust or abandonment. So I think it is a very important day when they get their forever name. We even had a little party to celebrate our last adoption. His name is Henry.

Unfortunately, I'm not good at naming animals, so no suggestions from me. But I love your story about getting "yet to be named dog." Animals warm our hearts, keep us company and grow on us like we never thought they would. Off to take the survey now. :)
