“There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want.” ― Bill Watterson
Last week, I promised you something short and “hopefully sweet” this week. So, here it is, my gift to you, a few moments of nothing.
When’s the last time you did absolutely nothing? Doing nothing is harder than it looks. I used to be great at it but I was afraid people would find out and think less of me. Today, though, I need some nothing, some open-ended time with no expectations. I’m guessing there are times when that would feel good for you too.
So this week, there are no words, or links, or requests from me, only a wish that you use this day or, even just this moment when you’d normally be giving your valuable minutes to Spark to step away from your to-do list, stare out the window or just sit where you are to see what happens when the background noise is temporarily muted.
I wish you all good things, health, and the adventure of doing nothing for however long you can.
I’ll be back next week.
Gratefully yours,
Betsy
P.S. And now…your moment of Zen, a photo from Tom who captured the rising, waxing moon through the palms on Thanksgiving Eve. If you want to, click the photo below, close your eyes, and listen. Peace, health, and rest to you.
I love this, and there is a little book called 'the gift of nothing' that I absolutely love and often gift to people.
